She announces she wants a divorce and poor Gavin is actually destroyed by her decision. Her persuades her to give him four months to fix things between them. Gavin was clearly in love with his wife but completely incapable of showing her but then how could he ever tell her something he doesn’t know himself. This book isn’t about falling in love, a fact I found quite refreshing. The characters were lost in love right from the very beginning. They just didn’t know it.
At times I actually thought they’d be better off apart but love wins out in the end. This series has been brilliant right from the beginning and this book certainly didn’t let the side down. The characters were realistic, completely idiotic at times and deeply moving. I’d recommend this book to anyone. It’s one of my favourites without a doubt and if I were to write a must read list this book would definitely be featured on it.
