The Rules Series
Hanleigh Bradley's debute series; The Rules Series. Hanleigh started writing Broken Rules back in September 2015 and has enjoyed every moment of the journey it's taken her on. The third and final part of the series, Revised Rules was released at the end of March 2016.
Aurora Stone knows what it means to keep the rules. She's lived with the expectations of the people around her. The only person who's expectations aren't met? Hers. On the spur of the moment, Aurora decides to break the rules. Only the list seems endless and Aurora is a little overwhelmed by it. When she sees Landon sat at the bar watching her, she makes a split second decision that might just change her life, one broken rule at a time. The list of broken rules quickly exceeds the number of rules they keep as they embark on this whirl wind adventure of control and chaos.
When Landon Peters met Aurora Stone everything changed. His world began unravelling and his sense of control seemed lost. Aurora's ability to make his rules seem completely irrelevant terrifies him, especially when he rashly invites her to his parents' house for dinner and he accidentally allows her to see more than he would like. With control out of his reach though he might just push to enforce the rules between himself and Aurora in a desperate attempt to reclaim the control he craves. After all, he told Aurora he would help her break her rules but he hadn't planned on it being at the expense of his own.
Now that Landon and Aurora are together they try to put their rules behind them but it might be easier said than done. Living together so early on in their relationship seemed like a great idea when Aurora first moved in, but a few weeks in they are beginning to realise that they both have flaws. Especially when life gets even more complicated and neither one of them feels in control of what's happening around them. Together, they learn that control is often fleeting but those moments of control can be hot and extremely intense, especially when the person you love is giving you that control, and losing control can be even more exhilarating when you lose it together.
Reviews For This Serial Romance
Bound by rules!
Living all her life by a list of rules set by her parents, Aurora Stone has always lived by the expectation of others but rules are meant to be broken or changed for someone special! When Aurora Spots handsome ‘Landon’ at the bar, she is sure that she’ll go beyond anything for a relation with him but venturing into a relationship with Landon will bring its own flaws and give Aurora a second thought- are rules worth breaking?...
Aurora and Landon were so sweet and steamy
Once I started reading The Rules series, I could hardly stop until I reached the end. It left me turning the pages, breathless (many times), and wondering what would happen to the characters and their families. Aurora and Landon were so sweet and steamy! What a great story! If you want to get in deep with characters and their lives, as if you live in their world, definitely read Broken Rules, Enforced Rules & Revised Rules!
The Rules Series by Hanleigh Bradley is a great HEA series. This series is about Aurora Stone and Landon Peters. Aurora and Landon know each other but only by name. Landon is in Marketing and Aurora’s father owns a publishing company. Landon handles the account for Stone Publishing. Landon has seen Aurora in pictures as his parents and the Stone’s are friends. Aurora is a good girl and has always followed her parents rules, only now, she's done doing what is expected of her. Landon has rules of his own, never sleep with the same girl twice, never let them stay the night, and never develop feelings. The good thing about rules, they are made to be broken! I seriously enjoyed this series. I loved that there was no major strife between the couple. Not saying everything was happy all the time, but it was great to see a couple get along and not have any major issues between them. Landon is the typical alpha male, but Aurora becomes a strong woman over the course of the series as well. If you looking for a great series please check this one out!
Rules Are Good, We All Have Some We Live By, But Rules Can Be Broken
Rules are good, we all have some we live by, but rules can be broken or bent and sometimes, tossing out the rules is the best thing one can do! Aurora lived by ridged rules, and most of them either came from her over-protective parents or were her own self-devised torture to avoid confrontation, as well as to protect her heart. In a wild and crazy moment, after a few too many rule breaking tequilas, Aurora broke an iron-clad rule and it opened a new and beautiful world for her, one filled with love, lust and the awakening of her true self...
The Rules Series is three separate novelettes, giving it a total of 406 pages; which includes Broken Rules, Enforced Rules, and Revised Rules. The series follows the relationship of two young adults, Landon and Aurora. I guess the easiest way to describe their relationship is; a tamer version of 50 Shades of Grey, with both parties equally rich and equally in control, with a lot more mentioning and involvement of the parental figures in the story. Which is OK; however, I find it extremely unbelievable that there are any 22 year old, college senior, virgins in the world; yet, these books keep writing about them. LOL...
The Rules series by Hanleigh Bradly tells the story of Aurora (Rory) Stone and Landon Peters, both having a very different set of rules that they have lived their lives by....but rules were MEANT to be broken, right? Aurora Stone has always followed the rules set down to her by her parents. She's the "perfect" one, the daughter who never gives a thought to disappointing her parents or her friends...but she longs to live her life by her OWN rules and the consequences be damned! That's when she meets Landon Peters for the first time, even though she knows of him (their parents are friends, but she has never actually met Landon), and the sparks fly!! Landon Peters, on the other hand, has his own rules that he lives by...never date (OR have sex with) the same woman twice, never let emotion enter into the equation, never share ANYTHING in order to avoid the pain of losing someone he loves...until he meets Aurora, that is!
