Synopsis: When unemployed college graduate Annabelle receives a mysterious job offer from a company to which she has never applied to, she can't say no. But the
job comes with a complication, Her boss is a sexy and arrogant soon-to-be billionaire playboy who always gets what he wants. he likes to play games and he's keeping a secret: he's Annabelle's one and only one night stand. As they get locked into a game of seduction, both are shocked to find themselves falling for each other...
Everyone loves a millionaire alpha male lead. Gatsby Wild is pretty bloody awesome. I love the fact that it all started because they had a quick hook up whilst hiking. There were a lot of secrets on Gatsby's side but that seems to be a common feature of alpha male plotlines, but he seemed like a pretty sound guy except Annabelle just couldn't get close enough to crack through his layers. It was a bit of a rollercoaster read. Great sexual chemistry and they had quite a lot in common but they ere constantly dealing with issues. I struggled with Annabelle. I just don't know who authors keep writing female protagonists that seem to push feminism back at least fifty years... and I'm no feminist. That said, I did enjoy it enough it finish it, even if I did speed read in places. I liked the idea, just felt it could have been better.
When April needs a date to her ex-fiance's engagement party, her friend sets her up with an an escort. No sex. No strings attached. Just a hot guy who is paid to adore her for a weekend. What could go wrong? Grant is a multi-millionaire and an escort. He doesn't do this for money. He can get any woman he wants, but he likes a challenge. You wouldn't think it, but women who pay for sex are so much more of a challenge. They aren’t paying just for sex, they're paying for an experience. They want to be wowed and adored and pleased. And Grant specializes in all that. At first, Grant thinks that April is just like the rest of his clients: curvy girl on the wrong side of 20 in desperate need of a mouth-watering date. But April doesn't want sex and she doesn't seem to want him at all. And Grant finds himself falling for someone for the first time ever… This is a steamy full-length novel with NO CLIFFHANGER.
First off, the plot, is pretty good. I really enjoyed it. There aren't many romance books out there about male escorts, so it's clearly unique. Grant is so bloody hot, it's off the charts, I struggled to like April. In fairness she was suffering from depression so looking back on it, I should definitely have been a bit kinder to her as I read. She's a depressed freelance writer, down on her luck. She was in a car accident and her good for nothing fiancée broke things off because he's a cruel piece of crap. She gained a ton of weight - 70ibs - that's like half my body weight, due to the meds she was on. She lost the weight but she's still not happy. The man she was supposed to be marrying is getting married to someone else and because their families are friends she is required to attend not only the wedding but their engagement party weekend as if one day isn't enough torture. April's gay BFF, introduces her to Grant. He agrees to act the doting boyfriend for the weekend.
As I said the story line is brilliant. I loved it. The only problem was that the writing left a little something to be desired. There were some spelling and grammatical errors and at times I found myself just blanking out huge parts of text. I liked both the characters in the end and was really rooting for them. I did really struggle to relate to April. I don't think it was the depression. I think I just had this sense that she wasn't willing to try. I'm not even sure she was diagnosed with depression, that might have made her more approachable. With the lack of a true diagnosis or any real character build up, she just seemed like a spoilt rich kid, who was obsessed with being fat, who wouldn't get off her arse to do any work or exercise. This would have seemed more validated if she actually was suffering from serious depression but then she should have been seeing a doctor.
All in all, it wasn't a bad book but it definitely wasn't the best either. I'd read it again though, so that says something. Charlotte Byrd is a great author and I loved Grant's character.
coworker, Josh. And our Vegas chauffeur, Geordi. Who the hell am I married to? Unraveling this mystery will be as difficult as figuring out why Amanda and I are having panic attacks over the thought of being husband and wife. Or, whoever we’re actually married to. Oh, ^%$#. It’s true that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, with one exception: If she’s my wife, we’ll make it work. If she’s not? I’ll make it happen. Get the 9th book in Julia Kent's New York Times bestselling romantic comedy series as Andrew and Amanda sort out their wild Vegas night...and the rest of their lives.
I loved this book from the very beginning. The very first scene was complete chaos. It was pure brilliance. I loved the rest of the series but was completely taken off guard with this one. This is a fantastic book for anyone who wants to laugh without stopping and smile at all the amazing little moments between couples. The morning after the night before was so ridiculous, I didn't stop laughing and had to keep re-reading it to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Major confusion but total entertainment. I mean Cheeto Coochie!?! WTF! and Homeopathic wine???? and Whale Sperm???? AS IF THIS ALL ACTUALLY HAPPENED??? Perhaps the funniest book I've ever read. I just loved it.
It's fantastic because Andrew is so serious and yet the book about him is anything but. He finds himself in the craziest situations and just seems to ride it out completely unfazed. I mean seriously! Waking up married and knowing nothing about it? It's just brilliant. You just have to read this book.
in his desire for me. When I fall into his lap in Las Vegas, our connection is instant. Once I'm back in Manhattan we can't resist the attraction. The draw is too intense and the desire is addictive. I want him in ways I promised myself I wouldn't. He needs me in ways he didn't know existed. The pull is strong enough to erase the doubt and to drown out all the questions. Until the secrets we've buried in our pasts collide in a way no one could have predicted. Please note – You do not need to read any of my other books to enjoy RISK. This is a complete standalone.
I loved this story. There was so many twists and turns to this story, it was a challenge to keep up. The idea, as always, with Bladon was pretty damn unique and cleaver. It was an absolutely fantastic read. I would highly recommend it to any of my reader friends. I was sobbing during parts and laughing like mad at others. The first page had me hooked and from there on out it just got better and better until it climaxed in the most beautiful ending. Ellie is amazing but secretly I was worried about who Kip was. I didn't want that to be something that kept them apart.
his social media star girlfriend were photographed on a private beach in the Caribbean. No swimsuits, no hats, and no bad camera angles. Ryker's back in New York City and his relationship is over. The fact that he's single shouldn't matter to me, but it does. It's not because I've secretly wanted him since I landed this job. It has absolutely nothing to do with that one kiss we shared under the mistletoe at the holiday party last year. It matters because of the way he looks at me when he doesn't think I'm paying attention. That melts my heart but I know enough about Ryker to realise he's trouble. He's the last thing I need, but that has nothing to do with what I want, does it?
This was quite different from the rest of Bladon's books. It didn't have the same sexy tension. Instead it was very sweet and romantic. The characters were well developed even though it was a very short read. Barely 100 pages. The characters had slightly weird names - Ryker and Lark??? Ryker is a marketing executive, super successful and good at what he does. I fell in love with Ryker as soon as Bladon gave us his point of view. God he was so sweet. Helping out his grandparents. I loved this short little book. There was no angst, no crazy drama. It was just a feel good story with lots of fluff.
series should be read before SHIVER. Noah Foster had an illustrious career before he gave it up to marry the love of his life, Alexa Jackson. Since the two of them said their vows, they've devoted their lives to raising their adopted twins. Noah has never been happier, but as he begins the process of letting go of the life he lived in Boston, he's faced with the reality that his wife and his children may not be enough for him. As Noah struggles to find a new sense of purpose in his work, Alexa leads him in the direction they both know he has been searching for. A rediscovered love, a stronger bond with his own twin brother, and a jumpstart to his career are all part of Noah's story as he matures, grows and finally transforms into the man he was always meant to be.
You can always count on Bladon to give her readers a unique story. Shiver is bloody brilliant. I loved Noah from the moment I first read him. It was slightly awkward imagining him constantly naked but it totally added to his character. It was amazing to see his character develop and see him overcome some serious issues. There was a moment or two when I really couldn't imagine it working out between Noah and Alexa so when it was all worked out I can't tell you how relieved I was. The sex scenes were fantastic. I love these after the HEA stories. It's nice to catch them in their every days. Their lives are exactly where we want them to be. Noah has his wife and kids and he has a good relationship with his twin brother. This was a perfect continuation of the Vain series.

Synopsis: Isla Lane is an ambitious violinist, who yearns for the career her grandmother had and had always planned for her. Though determined to make her mark on Manhattan and follow her dreams, she just can't seem to get back on course. Consumed with pain from the loss of her grandmother, Isla thinks that she has found the perfect distraction, but this perfect distraction will challenge her in ways she couldn’t have imagined. Work is the sole focus of Gabriel Foster's life. His family depends on him to chart the course for all of them. He works tirelessly to keep everyone and everything in his life in order. When Isla Lane falls into his path, his entire world is set off its axis. The attraction is immediate and intense. She's unlike anyone he's ever met. He's everything she didn't know she needed. As they explore what they can offer one another, they both realize that what they have left to give may not be enough.
Haze is unique. It's not a serial like most of Bladon's books but it's fantastic. It's romance at it's best. Gideon is driven and successful and always in control. He meets one of his employees, Isla Lane in one of his shops and she breaks all the rules. Isla is normally one for keeping the rules at work. She'd never normally come on to a customer but she's madly into him from the moment she sees Gideon. Mr Foster is attracted to her but he doesn't do crossing the line between employer and employee. He struggles though because he can't get her out of his head. I loved the dual POV. It was intense and erotic. Isla's life hasn't gone to plan. She's an amazing violinist but she wasn't able to go to Julliard even though she had a full scholarship because of a tragedy in the family. Isla was captivated by Gideon, completely overwhelmed by him. She thinks he's the one for her but she was also convinced that she probably wasn't the one for him. He's quite a bit older than her. "I don't know her. I can't have her. I need to forget her."

As Tess sets out on a journey of discovery, she's forced to face her deepest fears. Can she ever truly find happiness with a man whose own past haunts her own?
I absolutely love Tess and Landon. Landon is 100% alpha male and Tess is a confident independent woman. As is always the case with Bladon's books, there are secrets and drama and horribly excruciating cliff hangers. Tess is Ivy Marlow's cousin and Landon is Dane Beckett's brother so it's really cool to see how they relate with the rest of Deborah Bladon's universe. There's matchmaking. There's drama. There's love and secrets. The dialogue is beyond amazing. The sex is hot.
Tess is looking for a fresh start. She's an event planner and she's hard working. Landon saw Tessa on a plane but it isn't until later that they actually meet. It's a little bit like fate. It's a sexy story of secrets and fear with twists and turns at every corner.

Bridget and Dane are pretty unique. They are looking for something real. Dale was a man like no other, very open about how he felt. I liked Bridget. I loved Dale. Bladon has a habit of keeping me on the edge of fear and awkwardness. It was crazy. There were secrets and hidden stories that neither trusted the other with but it worked out in the end. That's the thing about Deborah Bladon. She always leaves me with a happy ever after even after all the drama and chaos and cliff hangers.

As always Bladon's characters are made for each other. Caleb and Rowan have a lot of history though. They are best friends and it takes a lot for them to move from friends to more. It helps that Caleb is seriously fucking hot! It's an erotic story with plenty of amazing moments and a beautiful plot.
If you enjoyed the rest of Bladon's books you are bound to love this one too.
Hanleigh loves books. She always has. She loves getting lost inside their pages. When she reads a book she loves to share it with her friends.
