Synopsis: The last thing wedding photographer Ginger Maxwell wants to do is face her high school sweetheart,
Ginger and Shane have loved each other since school. That love makes the loss of his memory even more potent. Shane's brother sends Ginger to bring Shane home or else. He threatens her financial security if she doesn't meet his demands, in the usual Pryce family way (they are as always far too involved in each other's business). She doesn't want to do it. Why? Because she knows more than the reader does. She knows more than Dane does. She knows what she has lost.
More so than any of Lee's other books, I adored this book. I've enjoyed everything I've read from this author but this book did things to my heart that left me feeling cut up and bereft right alongside her characters right up until the moment when their hearts and mine alike were healed. This book is a testament to everyone out there who needs to understand just how much an interfering family can get in the way of true love. When the Pryce family weren't interfering, Ginger's brother was instead. Lesson learnt: don't interfere in the love life of your nearest and dearest. They won't thank you for it and if the the consequences are half as severe as in this story you may never forgive yourself.
I give this book five out of five stars because it broke my heart and left me feeling raw for days.
